History of the house
A legacy of pride
Founded in 1962, Atelier Voisin is deeply anchored in the heritage of the Mimouni family in which the art of shoemaking has been passed down from father to son since 1880. The house Atelier Voisin also relies on the savoir-faire and the highest standards of its team of specialized craftsmen, stylists, closers and last-makers to make of each shoe that comes out of the Belleville (former shoemaking hub in Paris) workshop a token of the French bootmaking legacy.
Buying Atelier Voisin shoes is choosing unequaled comfort and lasting, timeless quality.
Achieving success through the craft
A unique style
When Eric Mimouni, trained by the best craftsmen, decides to launch his first Women’s collection in 1982, he knows he will be facing the most demanding client of all: the Parisian woman.
To take up this challenge, he adopts the same approach as his father Elie and decides to use fine and familiar materials, vegetable-tanned leathers, while deeply renewing shapes and colors. He creates a new language, fueled by thirty years of experience, trips, encounters and passionate discussions with the latest Mimouni generation (his three daughters and wife).
From the first sketches to the final design to customized products, each shoe is developed in the workshop. A vibrant and bold language that contributes, now more than ever, to confer to every Atelier Voisin production its unmistakable style.
